Cardboard Box Architects is a design practice founded in 2017 by Sir Reginald Biscuit Fontaine, who has never left a box once he got in. We design, fold and critique dwellings for the discerning feline: dens, mezzanines, hideaways and the occasional small cathedral.
Our studio of fourteen architects, three structural engineers and one intern named Pickles works from a converted laundry basket on Pellham Road. We believe that a space should be modest, enclosed and slightly too small, and that the best architecture is the kind you sit in until someone moves you.
We have completed 212 projects, lost 4 competitions to trees, and been thanked by 1,870 residents, mostly in the form of purring. We take new commissions in order of mood.
